THE BEAUTY OF FÁSKRÚÐSFJÖRÐUR

The Beauty of Fáskrúðsfjörður was created from my desire to make a gift package that reflects the beauty of nature and the unique character of Fáskrúðsfjörður – the place I have called home for many years.
A gift that locals can give with pride and visitors can take home as a beautiful memory of Fáskrúðsfjörður.

I personally forage the herbs in the products – arctic thyme, yarrow, and Icelandic moss – from the nature in Fáskrúðsfjörður. The reindeer and beef tallow comes from East Iceland, and the products are handcrafted in small batches by Jurtadís in Fáskrúðsfjörður.

The package combines the nature of Fáskrúðsfjörður, local ingredients, and craftsmanship.

Natural and nourishing skincare

The herbs are carefully selected for their nourishing, caring and soothing properties. The combination is well-suited for skin exposed to Icelandic weather – cold, wind, and dry air – and is also gentle for dry and sensitive skin.

Reindeer and beef tallow is naturally rich in fatty acids and helps to nourish, soften, and protect the skin. By using it, we also utilize a valuable local ingredient that might otherwise go to waste.

The Scent

Pine and cedarwood give the products a mild, fresh, and woody scent inspired by the nature surrounding Fáskrúðsfjörður. The scent is light and suitable for both women and men.

Usage

Body Soap – a mild soap for daily body washing.
Body Balm – apply to skin as needed.
